About The Position

As a full-time unarmed security officer at a retail location in Mattapan, Massachusetts, you will help safeguard clients, customers, and staff. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, provide customer service, and respond to security concerns with integrity. The role involves following site-specific policies and security procedures, responding to emergencies, and supporting a welcoming environment for customers and staff. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 3:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The pay rate is $21.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and use problem-solving skills, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns to site management or appropriate personnel.
Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a positive customer experience.
