About The Position

The Security Officer observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned residential building, helping protect client property and personnel. The role includes making periodic tours to check for irregularities, preserving order, and enforcing site regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and premises. The work requires standing for most of the workday.

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Starting pay is USD $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid New Jersey SORA License.
• Ability to understand English and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to perform the tasks required by the position.

Responsibilities

• Report irregularities and inform violators of policies and procedures.
• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry.
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; and obtaining signatures.
• Perform tasks assigned by a supervisor or manager.
