About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for daytime work at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in West Chester, Ohio. The officer will support access control and help safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by monitoring entry points, verifying authorization, and maintaining a welcoming and secure environment. The role uses technology to support access procedures and requires professional communication and visible security coverage. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect badges or passes, and maintain access-related records according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, business spaces, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
Help maintain orderly visitor and vendor flow, provide directions, and support a professional, welcoming environment while following confidentiality requirements.
