About The Position

As an unarmed Security Officer at an educational location in Brooklyn, NY, you will help safeguard students, faculty, staff, visitors, and the campus community. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and contribute to a welcoming environment. The role requires customer service, clear communication, and a professional response to security-related concerns. This is a part-time position scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour. Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while following site-specific procedures and security policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, walkways, parking facilities, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations according to established emergency response procedures.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unauthorized access concerns, and remain aware of campus operations and changing conditions.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
