Security Officer Medical Facility Area Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer assigned to a medical facility area patrol in Patchogue, New York. The role provides consistent weekly hours at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts at other sites through the company’s scheduling platform. The designated weekly shifts require a six-month commitment. The position can offer a path to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The hourly pay rate is $20. The listed schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The Security Officer provides customer service while carrying out site-specific security procedures, patrols buildings and grounds, responds to incidents and alarms, monitors access, and documents activities and observations.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other campus community members while carrying out site-specific procedures and security policies.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, residence areas, grounds, parking facilities, and perimeter areas, and report unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures.
- Monitor access points and help maintain orderly access to facilities according to site-specific requirements.
- Document daily activities, patrols, incidents, and observations in accurate reports and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
