Security Officer Warehouse Facility Area Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for area patrol at a warehouse facility in Amityville, New York. The officer will patrol assigned areas at an aerospace-related location, maintain a visible presence to help deter security incidents, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate professionally with site personnel and visitors. The role includes providing customer service, following site-specific security procedures, and responding to incidents and emergencies as appropriate. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Pay is $17.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
- Monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible security presence, and observe and report unusual activity.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel and visitors.
