About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol a commercial real estate property in East Hills, New York. The officer will safeguard clients and support a welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and staff through visible patrols, customer service, clear communication, and reporting of security-related concerns. The role is scheduled Friday and Saturday from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property representatives by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific procedures to help deter unauthorized entry and maintain orderly property operations.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as directed.
Provide directions and report maintenance or security-related concerns while communicating clearly with tenants, visitors, and site contacts.
