Security Officer Warehouse Area Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an assigned warehouse and industrial site in Bohemia, New York. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts can offer the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week, while retaining the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $19.07 per hour. The scheduled shift is Saturday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. The officer provides customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while following security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include responding to incidents and alarms, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring access points, and documenting observations and incidents.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any state or local licensing requirements that may apply before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including production areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
- Document incidents, patrol observations, and operational concerns according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
