About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for facility patrol at a retail location in Camillus, New York. The unarmed officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provides customer service to shoppers and staff. The role includes communicating clearly, documenting security-related activity, and supporting a welcoming environment.

The schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations according to established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and access concerns, and report observations to appropriate site contacts or management.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.
