About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Facility Mobile Patrol Driver in Rockville, Maryland, assigned to a life sciences location. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. This driving position includes routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service. The listed pay rate is $19.50 per hour. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document relevant activity according to site procedures.
• Maintain awareness of the location and promptly report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel to help deter unauthorized activity.
