About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for facility patrol at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Canton, Mississippi. The role involves providing customer service, conducting routine interior and exterior patrols, monitoring access points and alarm panels, responding to incidents and security concerns, and documenting observations and shift activity. The scheduled hours are Friday and Saturday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Pay is $17.20 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, document observations, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response and escalation procedures.
Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence.
