About The Position

The part-time Security Officer will work at a commercial real estate location in Los Angeles, California, serving as a welcoming and professional presence for tenants and visitors. The role supports access control, monitors activity, responds to security-related concerns, and provides customer service and clear communication. The schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, at a pay rate of $21.60 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide professional customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security policies.
Greet tenants, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel; verify identification and direct individuals according to building procedures.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security-related systems.
Report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow emergency response procedures, notifying applicable contacts.
Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports, and front desk records.
Communicate clearly with tenants, property staff, and Allied Universal leadership.
