About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Reception in Columbus, Ohio. The role provides a reliable, consistent weekly shift at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Employees may build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and may scale back when needed. The pay rate is $18.35 per hour. The listed schedule is Tuesday, 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and may perform emergency response activities when appropriate. Duties also include responding calmly to incidents and critical situations and conducting regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
