About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Visitor Reception in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site, with opportunities to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Employees may pick up extra shifts and can build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position pays $19.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The officer provides front-desk customer service and site-specific security support at a technology-focused location, including visitor screening and access records, monitoring reception and access points, and responding to incidents.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may need to be satisfied before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.
Commit to the designated site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures, front-desk policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Greet and screen visitors, verify authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
Monitor access points, reception-area activity, and security-related systems, and report unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
Maintain a professional front-desk presence at a technology-focused location, deter unauthorized access, and support a positive visitor experience.
