About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Reception in Lenexa, Kansas. The role provides consistent hours at an assigned site, with a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. The employee may also claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The position is a front desk role in a technology, media, and telecommunications environment, with a focus on visitor reception, customer service, and security procedures. The stated pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a front desk while following site-specific procedures and security policies.
• Greet visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security systems, and report irregularities or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond professionally to incidents, service requests, and emergencies; notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Answer phones, provide directions, and support employees, visitors, and vendors while maintaining a professional front desk presence.
