About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception in Mira Loma, California. The role provides consistent scheduled hours at an assigned logistics and distribution site, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The designated weekly shift is an anchor schedule requiring a six-month commitment. Employees may pick up extra shifts and can build toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $18.75 per hour.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, employees, and contractors at a front desk in a logistics and distribution location, following site-specific policies and procedures.
• Monitor facility access by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, issuing temporary badges, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Receive, document, and communicate deliveries, service requests, and visitor information in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry activity, cameras, alarms, and communication systems; report unusual conditions or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow emergency response procedures, and notify designated contacts.
