Security Officer Unarmed Visitor Reception
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for visitor reception at a financial institution in Chandler, Arizona. The officer will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. The role supports a welcoming environment and client operations through a visible presence, strong communication, and adherence to site-specific procedures and security policies. The schedule is Wednesday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- Customer service experience.
- Possession of a guard card or license.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional customer service to visitors, clients, and employees at the financial institution’s front desk, following site-specific procedures and security policies.
- Greet visitors, verify identification and/or appointments, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs.
- Answer and direct incoming calls, provide general information, and communicate visitor arrivals or concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established emergency response procedures.
- Observe front desk and lobby activity, report unusual or unauthorized activity, and help deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
