About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for a visitor reception role at an aerospace and defense location in McLean, Virginia. The role provides customer service at a front desk, carries out site-specific security procedures and access policies, and supports visitor access management. The position pays $25.24 per hour and has fixed Saturday and Sunday shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The assigned weekly shift is a six-month commitment. In addition to these anchor shifts, the officer may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with opportunities to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed.

Requirements

• Hold an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a front desk, following site-specific security procedures and access policies.
• Monitor visitor access, verify credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate entry records.
• Receive and direct guests and deliveries, and handle incoming communications professionally and courteously.
• Monitor designated access points and security-related systems, reporting unusual activity, access concerns, and policy violations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following emergency response activities and site protocols.
