About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception for an assigned site in San Diego, California. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift at an aerospace and defense location, with a required six-month commitment. The employee may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours in a week and scale back when needed. The role combines reception and front-desk support with site-specific security procedures and access control. Pay is $24.61 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM.

Requirements

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, employees, and contractors while providing customer service and following site-specific security procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor badges as directed, and maintain accurate access records.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in accordance with emergency response protocols.
• Receive and route calls, deliveries, and visitors; communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel; and support front-desk operations.
• Report unusual activity, access concerns, and security-related incidents to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision in accordance with post orders.
