About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for visitor reception at a utilities location in Gahanna, Ohio. The role welcomes visitors, manages site access, monitors activity, and provides customer service and communication while supporting security procedures. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $19.37 per hour.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, employees, contractors, and delivery personnel professionally and provide front-desk customer service.
• Verify visitor credentials, issue temporary access badges, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests according to site-specific procedures.
• Answer and route incoming telephone calls, provide general information, and communicate routine requests to appropriate site contacts.
• Observe lobby and entry activity, report suspicious activity or access concerns, and deter unauthorized entry through courteous access-control procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site-specific policies and emergency response procedures.
