About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer serving a healthcare location in Wayne, New Jersey, you will safeguard clients while providing front-desk visitor services. You will welcome visitors, manage access, support check-in procedures, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. Your visible presence and communication skills will help create a welcoming environment for patients, guests, and staff. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM, at $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 5 years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local laws and may need to be met before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, vendors, and staff by following site-specific procedures and front-desk access protocols.
Greet and direct visitors, verify appointments or authorization as applicable, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs.
Monitor access points and reception-area activity, reporting unusual activity or security concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
Answer incoming calls, provide general information and directions, and complete required reports and front-desk documentation.
