About The Position

The Security Officer - Visitor Services Desk serves as a welcoming, visible presence at a healthcare location while helping maintain a secure and professional environment. The role supports patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by managing access, responding to security-related concerns, and communicating clearly. This is a part-time position scheduled Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, at a pay rate of $19.35 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access records.
Monitor entry activity, manage visitor flow, and communicate directions, facility information, and applicable visitor requirements professionally.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and assist with emergency response procedures.
Monitor security-related systems and communications, document observations and incidents, and report unusual activity to site leadership and/or emergency personnel.
