About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a visitor desk role at a logistics and distribution location in Kansas City, Missouri. The officer will help manage facility entry and exit, verify authorized access, monitor assigned areas, and report security concerns. The role combines security procedures with professional customer service for employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors. The position pays $18.75 per hour and is scheduled Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any state or local licensing requirements that may apply before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Monitor access control points, verify credentials, manage visitor and driver entry, and maintain accurate access logs.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Report security observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision in a timely manner.
