About The Position

As a Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in Oak Brook, Illinois, you will create a welcoming, professional first impression while supporting security-related operations. You will greet visitors, manage access, monitor activity, communicate clearly, and address concerns with care and integrity. The role is full-time and pays $18.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Pass a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and building personnel while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Staff the front desk, greet visitors, verify appointments and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records.
Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other building systems as assigned; report irregular conditions to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, tenant requests, and critical situations professionally, following established emergency response procedures.
Answer and direct incoming calls, communicate with building management and first responders as needed, and complete daily activity and incident reports.
