About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a financial institution in Buffalo, New York. The officer will provide front-desk and lobby security, welcome visitors, manage and monitor access, and help maintain a professional and secure environment. The position pays $20.22 per hour and is scheduled Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable law.
Must be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, customers, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Staff the front desk or lobby, greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, and maintain visitor records according to site procedures.
Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security systems from a stationary post, and report unusual activity or access concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established emergency response procedures.
Direct visitors, answer routine inquiries, and communicate security-related information to site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
