About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for front desk visitor intake at a logistics and distribution location in Lakeland, Florida. The officer will provide a welcoming, visible presence while managing visitor access, communicating with employees and guests, and supporting site security procedures. The role emphasizes attentive observation, clear communication, customer service, and maintaining an orderly environment. The schedule is Monday and Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, depending on state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, delivery drivers, and employees at the front desk while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Greet visitors, verify identification and appointments, issue visitor credentials, and direct people according to site requirements.
Monitor front desk activity, access-control systems, and incoming communications; document visitor activity, deliveries, and security-related incidents as required.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in accordance with site emergency procedures.
Communicate site rules, report unusual activity, and coordinate with appropriate site personnel or emergency responders to help maintain an orderly entry area.
