About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government maritime transportation location in Norfolk, Virginia, you will serve and safeguard clients by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting access control and incident response. You will provide customer service and clear communication while contributing to a team that acts with integrity. The position pays $18.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday from 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM and Sunday from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Requirements

Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and transport personnel while following site-specific procedures and security policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, waterfront-adjacent areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed, and observe vehicle and pedestrian activity entering and leaving the location.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear and accurate reports and shift documentation about patrols, observations, incidents, and security-related activities.
