About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a financial company in Boston, Massachusetts. The schedule is Friday and Saturday from 10 PM to 6 AM, and the starting pay is $23.50 per hour. Paid orientation and training are provided. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and at least one year of previous security experience.

The officer will help safeguard clients by following safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. The role includes responding calmly to incidents and critical situations and conducting regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Applicants must meet the age and education or experience requirements applicable to the role. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and drug screen, as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• At least one year of previous security experience.
• Valid driver’s license; the posting states it is required for driving positions.
• Subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
