About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a financial company in Boston, Massachusetts. The position is scheduled for Friday and Saturday from 11 PM to 7 AM and pays $23.50 per hour. Paid orientation and training are provided. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and at least one year of previous security experience.

The Security Officer serves and safeguards clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate. The role also involves responding calmly to incidents and critical situations and conducting regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Applicants must meet the stated age and education or experience criteria. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law and may need to be met before employment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of previous security experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Pass a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and conduct emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
