About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer for a chemical and petrochemical location in Buffalo, New York. The officer will safeguard the site and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors by maintaining a visible presence, providing customer service, and responding to site needs with integrity. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, following site-specific policies and procedures, and responding to alarms and other critical situations according to established protocols. The position pays $20.25 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Thursday through Sunday, 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations, following site protocols and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, process areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter.
Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
Report hazards, suspicious activity, equipment concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Provide customer service and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence.
