About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Response in Saratoga Springs, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including retail and malls. At a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors, tenants, and staff with customer service. You will communicate clearly, respond to routine concerns, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.43 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of mall common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills and requesting additional assistance when appropriate.
Monitor access points and observe activity to support a welcoming environment and adherence to site rules.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with company and site-specific procedures.
