About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Response Support at a government aviation location in Orlando, Florida, you will help safeguard clients and support a welcoming environment for travelers, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, provide customer service, and respond professionally to changing needs. The role is part-time and pays $18.47 per hour. The posted schedule is Wednesday, 9:30 PM–5:30 AM, and Sunday, 5:30 AM–1:30 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, coordinating with airport operations and emergency personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport facilities, terminals, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
Monitor and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, hazards, and policy violations according to site-specific procedures.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Provide professional assistance and directions to the public.
