About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Medical Response Patrol in Independence, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Must be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
Must be willing to work in or near a hospital morgue.
Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with facility policies, providing directions and assistance while maintaining a professional presence.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and report concerns according to site procedures.
