About The Position

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location in Albany, NY, you will safeguard clients and provide customer service to shoppers and staff. You will conduct routine and random patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, communicate clearly, and use computer or tablet tools as needed. The role supports a welcoming environment and follows site-specific policies and procedures.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store personnel and/or management.
Assist with access control, visitor and contractor check-in, and documentation of incidents, observations, and patrol activities according to site requirements.
