About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, experienced Unarmed Patrol Security Officer for a healthcare location in Alabaster, Alabama. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and property by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment. The role includes providing professional customer service and responding to security concerns with integrity and sound judgment.

The position pays $16.75 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, patient-related disturbances, and critical situations; contact appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity according to site-specific procedures.
• Accurately document incidents, patrol observations, and security concerns and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
