About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Detroit, Michigan. The officer will help safeguard the site by conducting patrols, monitoring access points, responding to security concerns, and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents. The role also involves providing customer service and clear communication to support a welcoming environment. The stated pay rate is $17.70 per hour. The posted schedule includes Tuesday 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, Saturday 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Sunday 6:00 AM–6:00 PM. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions. CPR and First Aid certification, access-control and badge experience, alarm panel experience, computer or tablet comfort, and customer service experience are preferred.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific policies, access-control procedures, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, loading docks, offices, and the facility perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions or security concerns.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, document visitor and vehicle activity, and report unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when required.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs in accordance with company and site requirements.
