About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Communications in Byram, Mississippi, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including retail and malls. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. The role involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and responding professionally to concerns while representing Allied Universal’s values. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $13.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday, 11:59 PM–8:00 AM, and Friday and Saturday, 4:00 PM–11:59 PM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report security-related concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer disturbances, and critical situations, following established procedures.
Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
