Security Officer Unarmed Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Hilo, Hawaii, you will help safeguard clients in a healthcare setting. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role includes responding to security-related concerns, communicating professionally, and providing customer service. The position is full-time, with scheduled shifts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $22.58 per hour. At least one year of security experience is required.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established healthcare location protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and communicate professionally with healthcare staff, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
