About The Position
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Visibility Services in Orlando, Florida, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role involves professional communication, responding to security-related concerns, and providing customer service while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity. The position is full-time and pays $16.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized personnel and vehicle entry, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, facility entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports of observations, incidents, patrols, and security-related activities.
