About The Position
As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location in Houston, Texas, you will safeguard clients and help maintain a welcoming environment for customers and associates. You will conduct routine, unarmed patrols and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license. You will use communication and customer-service skills while representing Allied Universal’s culture of agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity. The stated pay rate is $15.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, 2:30 PM–10:30 PM, and Thursday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, suspicious activity, customer concerns, and critical situations.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned retail areas, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas.
- Monitor for policy violations, loss prevention concerns, unauthorized access, and other security issues, and report observations through established procedures.
- Maintain a professional presence while assisting with access control, directions, and other site-specific duties.
