Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Visibility
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The role conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, responds to security-related concerns, and delivers customer service to support a welcoming environment. The officer carries out security procedures and site-specific policies, monitors access, responds to incidents and alarms, and maintains accurate patrol and incident documentation. The position is scheduled for overnight shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery authorization according to site-specific procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as directed.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
