About The Position
As a Security Officer Dispatch Communications in Dulles, Virginia, you will safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. In this dispatch role, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, support timely responses to security-related matters, maintain detailed records, assist with access control, and provide customer service while helping deter incidents. The position is part-time, with shifts listed for Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and pays $27.00 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements vary by state or locality and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Current CPR certification.
- A guard card or license.
- Experience with access control and badge systems.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor incoming communications, alarms, and service requests; dispatch personnel and coordinate responses to incidents, critical situations, and facility-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, shift activity reports, and other documentation in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Communicate with on-site personnel, management, and emergency responders to relay information and support timely responses.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, and designated areas to identify and report security concerns, unusual activity, and maintenance issues.
