Security Officer Full Time Dispatch Communications
About The Position
As a full-time Dispatch Communications Security Officer at a healthcare location in Columbus, Ohio, you will help safeguard clients by coordinating security-related communications and responses. You will monitor alarm and access-control systems, document activity, and direct appropriate responses to incidents. The role also provides customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and staff while helping maintain an orderly environment. The position is scheduled Monday through Thursday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $24.40 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a healthcare location by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Receive, document, prioritize, and dispatch security-related calls for service, alarms, incidents, and requests for assistance to appropriate personnel.
- Monitor communication systems, access-control activity, cameras, and alarm notifications, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, and shift communications, and provide timely updates to supervisors and responding personnel.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, and coordinate communication with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
