About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Dispatch Communications at a commercial real estate location in Chicago, Illinois. The officer will coordinate communications, monitor access activity, and support timely responses to security-related incidents. The position provides customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff while maintaining accurate records and supporting a welcoming environment. The posted schedule is Wednesday and Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The pay rate is $19.75 per hour. The role includes access to technology for claiming additional shifts, paid training, and career growth opportunities.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.
A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and supporting security operations.
Monitor communication systems, alarms, cameras, and access-related activity; receive calls and dispatch appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, service requests, and critical situations; document details and escalate concerns as needed.
Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and shift activity records, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders.
Coordinate regular and random patrol assignments around the property and perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
