About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for dispatch communications at a financial institution in Newark, Delaware. The role supports site operations by monitoring alarm, access control, camera, and communication systems; coordinating responses to security-related incidents; and maintaining accurate documentation. It also involves providing professional customer service and working with employees, visitors, vendors, site contacts, and emergency responders to help deter incidents and safeguard the client.

Requirements

• At least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply before employment, depending on state and local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Possession of a guard card or license.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch routine and urgent calls for service to appropriate personnel using radio, telephone, and electronic systems.
• Monitor alarms, access control activity, cameras, and other security-related systems; document events and notify appropriate contacts according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, coordinating communication with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and shift activity records.
• Assist with regular and random patrol coordination around the business and perimeter.
