About The Position

As a Security Officer Dispatch Communications in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will coordinate communications, monitor activity, and dispatch appropriate responses to security-related incidents. The role also involves maintaining detailed records, providing customer service, and helping create a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The schedule is part-time, with shifts Friday and Saturday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.54 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and callers by following site-specific security procedures, access protocols, and dispatch policies.
Monitor incoming calls, alarms, radio traffic, and electronic systems, and dispatch personnel or emergency responders according to established procedures.
Accurately document incidents, service requests, dispatch activity, and critical information in logs and reporting systems.
Respond calmly and effectively to incidents and critical situations, communicating updates to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, and report observed security-related concerns.
