About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location in North East, Maryland. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service to shoppers, staff, and visitors. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 5:00 PM–11:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.

A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas; identify unusual activity and report concerns.
Respond professionally and calmly to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following established escalation procedures.
Monitor access points, assist with directing visitors and deliveries, and help maintain orderly operations.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and security-related activities and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
