Security Guard Part Time Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Guard to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in San Jose, California. The position involves monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, supporting access control, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The officer provides customer service and clear communication while helping maintain a welcoming environment. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. The role requires at least six months of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Responsibilities
- Carry out site-specific procedures and access-control protocols, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and critical infrastructure spaces.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor access credentials, and maintain accurate security activity logs and reports.
- Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and site personnel.
- Report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
