Security Guard Part Time Patrol

About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location in Black Mountain, NC, you will help safeguard clients and provide a welcoming environment for customers and team members. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, communicate professionally, respond to concerns, and provide dependable service guided by Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, teamwork, innovation, care, and integrity. The schedule is Thursday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of grocery store sales floors, entrances, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, policy violations, or potential loss-prevention concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events; notify appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
