About The Position

As a Security Officer Perimeter Patrol in Shorewood, Illinois, you will safeguard clients at a commercial location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site. This is a full-time position paying $19.38 per hour. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
Report security-related concerns.
